Logan was almost three, and he was not interested in using the potty. He had a cozy diaper, a stuffed bunny named Sprinkles, and a firm "no" whenever his parents asked if he wanted to try.
But his parents noticed something: Logan did tell them when his diaper was wet, and he was curious when he saw other kids using the potty. So one weekend, they decided to make it fun.
First, they let Logan pick out his own potty seat—he chose one with dinosaurs and a little flushing sound. Then, at the store, he picked "big kid undies" with stars and rockets. He was excited but still a little nervous.
At home, they didn't pressure him. They just said, "You can try whenever you're ready," and kept the potty nearby, even in the living room at first. His parents also read fun books about potty time, and Sprinkles the bunny "used the potty" too (with help, of course).
